JAMES HEWINS
SCULPTURES, SPECULATIVE FUTURES, SYMBIOSIS
James Hewins (he/him) is a Southampton-based sculptor and rewilder. His work spans sculpture, sound, and digital 3D media, exploring themes of dystopia, ecological collapse, climate change, and speculative futures. James is particularly interested in how eco-materials and biomimicry design can help navigate and mitigate these issues.
He leads a project called "Caustic Bloom," which aims to transform Southampton's grasslands into wildflower areas, enhancing local biodiversity. This initiative integrates art, science, and community engagement into the rewilding process.
