Sophie Rawlingson
transforming everyday observations into interactive stories
Sophie Rawlingson (she/her) is an illustrator and artist based in Hampshire. She digitally draws, paints, and makes sculptures with wood, often utilising symmetry and repetition.
When she’s not drawing plants, she’s drawing snapshots of the world around her and the people in it; exploring the fault line between the natural world and modern miscellanea. This fault line has led her from Hampshire to London and back.
Her references reflect her eclectic taste, from 18th century folk-art to handmade zines. She playfully transforms everyday observations into interactive stories, inviting the viewer to share in the joy of creation.
